Senior midfielder Brooke Ingemi scored three goals in October to help the Mammoths to a 4-2 record over the month.
Ingemi scored the game-winning goals in back-to-back games, striking in a 3-1 win at Emmanuel on Oct. 6, then converted a penalty-kick goal in the 86th minute to lift the Mammoths to a 2-1 win at previously undefeated Tufts on Oct. 14. She then opened the scoring in a 2-1 win at Bowdoin on Oct. 25.
The Plymouth native has tallied four goals and an assist this season. In her career, she has notched 11 goals and 8 assists, helping Amherst to three NESCAC championships, and has also played basketball for the Mammoths.
A double major in neuroscience and philosophy, Ingemi has earned NESCAC All-Academic and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors and was one of the recipients of Amherst’s Prize in Philosophy in 2024, awarded to the author of the paper, written for a course in philosophy, that, in the view of the faculty of the department, most exemplifies the epistemic virtues that philosophy courses aim to cultivate.
