Sophomore swimmer Paige Arnold won five events at the Szkirka Memorial Championships in December, helping the Mammoths to a first-place finish atop the eight-team field at the event.
Arnold won the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly with season-best times in both events and was part of Amherst's winning relay teams in the 200-yard freestyle relay, 400-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard medley relay, anchoring the squad in both free relays. Arnold also helped the Mammoths earn points towards their victory with a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle, placing behind only teammate Megan Lee.
A geology major from Oakland, California, Arnold earned All-American honors as a first-year with a 14th-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly and as part of Amherst's 800-yard freestyle relay team that finished 12th at the NCAA Division III Championships.
