The primary function of the Department of Athletics Equipment Rooms is to provide the daily recreational operations and support of our varsity/club programs, faculty, staff, alumni, students and friends. With two locations, lower level of Alumni Gymnasium and Conway Fieldhouse, complete inventories are stored, inventoried and maintained for our varsity/club programs.
The Equipment Room located in the lower level of Alumni Gymnasium, offers items for daily use/activities to all faculty, students, staff, alumni and friends. There is a selection of basketballs, soccer balls, squash equipment, tennis equipment and yoga mats available to persons with a valid Amherst College I.D. If there are any other items not listed above for your recreational activity, please contact the Equipment Room during regular business hours.
The Equipment Room maintains the inventory and assignment of the Department's main locker rooms within Alumni Gymnasium. Should a faculty, staff, alumni, student or friend wish to use a locker on a one-time or annual basis, please contact or stop by the Equipment Room. A valid College I.D. is required as well as some basic contact information. We will provide you with a locker assignment as well as a college lock and combination.
