Sophomore Harrison Dow enjoyed a standout start to the cross country season with a pair of runner-up finishes that have propelled the Mammoths to an undefeated September.

Dow finished second overall at both the Little Three Championships and Wesleyan's Cardinal Invitational, pacing the Mammoths to victories in both meets. Amherst captured the Little Three Championship for the first time since 2018 and finished atop a field of eight teams at the Cardinal Invitational.

As a first-year last season, Dow earned NESCAC Rookie of the Year honors and secured All-NESCAC recognition in both cross country and track & field. The Concord, Massachusetts, native also garnered All-Region accolades in cross country and All-New England honors in indoor track & field.

The Mammoths finished September ranked 13th in the nation in the USTFCCCA Division III poll.
