First-year Flora Biro wasted no time making her mark on the collegiate scene, winning her debut race and leading the Mammoths to victory in the first two meets of the season.

Biro's collegiate career kicked off in style as she captured the individual title at the Little Three Championships on Sept. 7, helping the Mammoths secure a team win against their Little Three rivals for the third straight year.

Biro followed up her championship run with another impressive performance at Wesleyan's Cardinal Invitational on Sept. 21. She raced to a third-place individual finish in a competitive field of 129 runners and was the first rookie to cross the finish line. The Louisville, Kentucky, native once again paced the Mammoths to a team victory, with Amherst placing first of 10 teams to finish September undefeated.

The Mammoths finished September ranked first in the Mideast Region and 11th in the nation in the USTFCCCA Division III poll.
