Junior midfielder Niall Murphy scored two game-winning goals as the Mammoths went 4-1-2 in October. Murphy's two goals were both the lone goal scored in crucial 1-0 wins.

On Oct. 8, Murphy scored in the 55th minute of a 1-0 win at Bowdoin as the Mammoths picked up a road win against a Polar Bears team that was ranked eighth in the country at the time.

In the NESCAC quarterfinals on Oct. 28, Murphy headed in a goal in the ninth minute to lift the Mammoths over Wesleyan and continue their run in the conference tournament.

A computer science major from Cambridge, Massachusetts, Murphy has scored four goals this season and seven in his career.

The defending NESCAC champion Mammoths entered November ranked 13th in the nation in the United Soccer Coaches Division III poll.
