Sophomore diver Sydney Bluestein earned NESCAC Diver of the Year honors after winning both of the two diving events at the NESCAC Women's Swimming and Diving Championships.
A mathematics major from Columbia, South Carolina, Bluestein scored 475.40 points on the one-meter board and posted a score of 497.80 points on the three-meter board, marking the fifth consecutive championship that an Amherst diver captured Diver of the Year honors.
At the NCAA Northeast/North Regional Championships, one of four regions nationwide in Division III, Bluestein finished second on both boards, earning a trip to the NCAA Division III National Championships, which will be held from March 15-18 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
