Sophomore diver Sydney Bluestein won the NCAA Division III national championship in one-meter diving to cap an impressive season on the diving boards.

Bluestein won Amherst's 81st individual NCAA championship with her performance on the one-meter board on March 17 in Greensboro, North Carolina. She posted a score of 431.40 to win the title after scoring 439.80 to finish fourth on the three-meter board two days earlier, earning First Team All-America honors in both events.

A mathematics major from Columbia, South Carolina, Bluestein previously earned NESCAC Diver of the Year honors this season after sweeping both diving events at the NESCAC Championship.
