19th-Ranked Men's Lacrosse Pummells Endicott, 15-6

April 8, 2003

KEENE, NH - Ranked 19th in the nation and second in New England, the Amherst College men's lacrosse team improved to 6-1 with a lopsided 15-6 non-league victory over Endicott College on Tuesday. The game was originally scheduled for Amherst's Hitchcock Field but moved to an alternate site, Keene State College, due to inclement weather.

With four goals on Tuesday, senior attackman Chris Condlin (Baltimore, MD), the NESCAC's leading goal scorer, upped his season total to 22 scoring strikes. He's now scored at least two goals in each of Amherst's five victories, with a five-goal game and two four-goal games to his credit. Sophomore Alex Casertano (Millbrook, NY) added a goal and three assists in the win, while first-year Andrew Wilcox (Ancramdale, NY) and junior Craig McBeth (Wyckoff, NJ) each found the back of the net twice.

Sophomore netminder Cushing Donelan (Noroton, CT) was once again stellar between the pipes with 10 saves in 54 minutes. Fellow sophomore goalie Mike McGeeney (Bonita Springs, FL) saw his first action of the season, finishing the game with two saves and no goals allowed in six minutes.

Amherst returns to action Saturday at 2 p.m. against visiting NESCAC and Little Three rival Wesleyan University. On Sunday, the Jeffs will host three-time defending national champion Middlebury College, the No. 4 team in the nation, at 4:30 p.m. at UMass Amherst's Garber Field.
