5/3/2026 10:29:00 PM

AMHERST, Mass. -- For the fourth time in five years, the Amherst College men's lacrosse team has earned a ticket to the dance under head coach Sean Woods.

It will be the 11th NCAA appearance in program history for the Mammoths.

The Mammoths (8-7) were given an at-large into the 2026 NCAA Div. III Tournament and received a first-round bye. They will face Stevens Institute (17-2) in a second round contest at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Me. Saturday, May 9th. It is the second consecutive year the Mammoths head to Bowdoin. In 2025, they defeated Endicott 12-11 in the second round before falling to the hosts in a third-round contest.

Host Bowdoin, the NESCAC Tournament runner-up and No. 2 team in the nation, will face the winner of a first-round match-up between Scranton and SUNY-Maritime Saturday. Saturday's two winners will meet Sunday in a third-round contest at Bowdoin's Whittier Field.

Stevens and Amherst have not met before in men's lacrosse. Stevens secured its NCAA berth by capturing its sixth consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom title, rolling to a 20-10 victory over Arcadia University in Saturday's championship game.

Complete tournament information, including game times and ticket information, will be released on Monday and added here.
