Jeffs Down Western New England, 10-6

SPRINGFIELD, MA - Senior attackman Chris Condlin (Baltimore, MD) netted four goals and had an assist to guide the Amherst College men's lacrosse team to a 10-6 victory over non-league foe Western New England College at Golden Bear Stadium on a snowy Tuesday afternoon. Jeff rookie attackman Kevin Boova (Summit, NJ) also chipped in with four assists. 

The Jeffs jumped out to a 5-1 advantage to end the opening quarter. They tacked on another pair in the second, making the score 7-4 at the break. After being held scoreless in the third, the Jeffs added a trio of goals in the final quarter to round the scoring out at 10-6. 

Sophomore netminder Cushing Donelan (Noroton, CT) finished with six saves for Amherst, while sophomore Nick DeDuca (Waltham, MA) notched 16 for Western New England. With the victory, the Jeffs - ranked second in the latest New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) poll - improve to 5-1 overall while the Golden Bears drop to 2-5. 

Amherst returns to action Saturday at 1 p.m. against visiting reigning NESCAC champions Middlebury College.
