Sophomore defender Ben Clark-Eden helped anchor a defense that allowed only two goals in eight games during the month of October as the Mammoths went unbeaten with a 5-0-3 record. The Mammoths allowed only 20 shots on goal during the month, the fewest of any team in the NESCAC.

The Littlehampton, England, native also scored his second goal of the season, successfully converting a penalty kick in a 1-1 tie with defending national champion Connecticut College on Oct. 15.

Amherst's outstanding October included capturing the Little Three championship for the third straight season with a scoreless tie at Williams on Oct. 1 and a 2-0 win over Wesleyan on Oct. 8.
