First-year shortstop Ryan McIntyre hit .429 (9-for-21) with 7 RBI and 6 runs scored over four games in the NESCAC Tournament, helping lead the Mammoths to a sweep of Bowdoin in the best-of-three quarterfinals.
McIntyre, who closed the season on a nine-game hitting streak, hit his third home run of the season in the first game of the tournament, a 17-6 win over Bowdoin, and followed that up with a 4-for-6 performance at the plate in the second game of the doubleheader to help the Mammoths to a 9-2 win. McIntyre also added three doubles and a triple in Amherst's four-game postseason run.
The Larchmont, New York, native earned Second Team All-NESCAC honors after leading the Mammoths with a .345 batting average and 33 RBI.
