Senior sprinter Henry Buren won the 100m dash in record-setting fashion at the NESCAC Championship, breaking his own school record to win the conference crown in 10.79 seconds.
The Kansas City, Missouri, native also finished second in the 200m dash at the conference championship and was part of the 4x100m relay team that finished fourth. Buren's times ranked him second among New England Division III athletes in the 100m and sixth in the 200m and qualified him for the NEICAAA Championship, open to New England athletes from all three divisions, in both events.
Earlier in April, Buren swept the 100m and 200m sprints at both the UMass Invitational and the Amherst Spring Fling and was also part of the winning 4x100m relay team at the latter meet. He won the 100m dash at the Silfen Invitational with a wind-aided time of 10.63 seconds.
In his career, Buren has won five All-NESCAC honors and six All-New England honors between the indoor and outdoor New England Division III championship meets.
