First-year attack Lauren Friedman of the Amherst College women's lacrosse team scored multiple goals in six straight games to help the Mammoths open their season with a 6-1 record.

Friedman scored four goals in her second collegiate game to lead the Mammoths in a 16-5 win over Springfield on March 8. She matched her four-goal effort and scored the game-winner in overtime in an 11-10 win over McDaniel on March 17 and set a new high-water mark with five goals in a 17-7 win over Westfield State on March 26.

Through the seven games in March, the Rossmoor, California, native led the Mammoths in scoring with 19 goals and 2 assists and also had 17 draw controls to her credit.
