WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Amherst College women's golf team competed in Day 2 of the Williams Fall Invitational at the Taconic Golf Course Sunday.
The team started their round with an 8:30 A.M. shotgun start and battled wind and rain, making for difficult playing conditions. The Mammoths ended round two with a team score of 22 over par, and finished the tournament in 3rd place with a two day total of 43 over par (305, 306). Winning the tournament is Middlebury College with a two day total of 30 over par (297, 301).
On the individual leaderboard, freshman
Joanna Song led the Mammoths with a 73, or 2 over par (the course is a par 71). Song had a consistent round, and went bogey free on the front 9 for 2 under par. Song finished with a two day total of 14 over par (83, 73). Following, freshman
Judy Wu finished day 2 with a 77, or 6 over par. Wu finished strong with a birdie on hole 1, a par 5. Wu finished T-14th with a two day total of 12 over par (77, 77).

Eve Krinsky and senior
Abigail Kim both finished with a 78. Krinsky finished with a two day total of 9 over par (73, 78) and tied for 9th place individually. Kim finished with a two day total of 12 over par (76, 78) for T-14th place. Sophomore
Emma Lindemoen shot 81, and finished with a two round total of 18 over par (79, 81).
The Mammoths have finished their third tournament of the fall season with another strong 3rd place finish. The team is back in action next weekend for the Wesleyan Fall Invitational, their final tournament of the fall season.
