HADLEY, MA. -- First year guard
K.J. Neville (North Memphis, Tenn.) was named the 2025-26 NESCAC Rookie of the Year, it was announced by the conference earlier today.
Neville burst onto the scene as a first year, playing in all 25 contests and starting 17 while averaging 10.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in his debut season. He has done this while being one of the Mammoths most consistent shooters, shooting .437 from the field and an impressive .400 from deep. The Mammoths are still alive in the postseason, having earned an at-large berth to the 2026 DIII NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019. They will begin their tournament run against WPI on Friday, March 6 at University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va. The winner will advance to play the winner of the other first round game between hosts Mary Washington and Worcester State University on Saturday, March 7.
