JEKYLL ISLAND, GA -- The Amherst College women's golf team kicked off its spring season this Friday at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational at Great Dunes. The Mammoths began play in the morning and finished the day at 14 over par, sitting at 3rd place in the field.
On the individual leaderboard, second-year
Mekhala Costello leads the Mammoths firing a 72, and sits at 3rd in the overall field. Following, first-year
Emma Lindemoen fired a 75, sitting at 9th in the field. Third-year
Joelle Kim shot a 76, first-year
Renna Chang shot a 79, and third-year
Abigail Kim shot an 84. Notably, Costello eagled hole 8.
The Mammoths, #6 in the nation, are back in action tomorrow in the morning for the second round of the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational at Great Dunes.
