Jeff Matthews has announced that
Kathryn Truban, a five-year starter at Adrian College, has been named his assistant coach for the 2025-26 season.
"I am really excited to welcome Kathryn to the AWH Family," Matthews said. "She is an excellent fit from a personal standpoint, and her passion for the game of hockey impressed me."
Truban is from Hamilton, NJ. At Adrian, she was an assistant captain her last two years, was selected all-conference four times and was a 2-time All-American defenseman. She earned her MBA from Adrian in May of 2025 after earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from the same institution the year prior, graduating summa cum laude.
Truban played more games (138) than any other person in Bulldogs' history. She finished her career with 95 assists, the second most in program history and also placed in the top 10 in both points (116) and shots (462).
