GLOUCESTER, Mass. — A total of 13 student-athletes from the NESCAC champion Amherst College women's ice hockey team were honored as All-American Scholars for the 2024-25 season by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA).
To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester and had to appear in 40 percent of the team's games. Exceptions are granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders.
The Mammoths named All-American Scholars are:
• First-year forward
Ayla Abban from Duxbury. Abban played in all 30 games, scoring 14 goals and adding 9 assists.
• Senior forward
Anna Baxter, a chemistry major from Joliet, Illinois. A team captain, Baxter played in 29 games, netting a goal at Middlebury on Jan. 17 and adding 10 assists.
• Senior goaltender
Kaila Bush, a chemistry and environmental studies double major from Manhattan Beach, California. Bush did not allow a goal in two appearances this season.
• Junior defender
Gretchen Dann, a film & media studies major from Hanover, New Hampshire. Dann was honored as a First Team All-American, tallying 9 goals and 11 assists in 30 games, and was also named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team.
• Sophomore forward
Natalie Fu, a chemistry major from Santa Cruz, California. Fu played in all 30 games, notching 3 goals and 2 assists.
• Sophomore forward
Cara Mancini, a neuroscience major from Shrewsbury. Mancini played in all 30 games, scoring 9 goals and adding 6 assists.
• Junior forward
Marie-Eve Marleau, an economics and environmental studies double major from Saint-Anicet, Quebec. Marleau played in all 30 games, tallying 7 goals and 9 assists.
• First-year defender
Genna Pan from Chicago. Pan scored her first collegiate goal against Williams on Nov. 16 and played seven games before missing the remainder of the season due to injury.
• First-year forward
Annabel Raffin from Woodbridge, Connecticut. Raffin played in all 30 games and notched 6 assists.
• Senior defender
Kelsey Stewart, an American studies and anthropology double major from Halifax. Appearing in all 30 games, Stewart contributed 5 assists.
• Junior goaltender
Natalie Stott, an economics and psychology double major from Franklin. Stott earned First Team All-America and NCAA All-Tournament Team honors after posting 11 shutouts to tie for the national lead while maintaining a 0.95 goals against average and .957 save percentage.
• Senior forward
Julia Weiss, a biochemistry & biophysics major from New York. Weiss played in 29 games with a goal at Middlebury on Jan. 18 and 3 assists on the season.
• Senior forward
Alyssa Xu, a neuroscience major from Bayside, New Brunswick. Xu tallied 8 goals and 9 assists in 27 games, earning All-NESCAC and NCAA All-Tournament Team honors, while being tabbed as an Academic All-American.
Dann and Stott were among eight All-American Scholars who earned First Team All-America honors as well for their on-ice play.
The Mammoths went 23-6-1 this season, winning the NESCAC Championship for the third time in the last five seasons and finishing as runner-up in the NCAA Division III Championship.
