NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Among a deep field of several nationally-ranked programs, the Amherst College men's cross country team produced a fourth-place overall finish at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The Mammoths, ranked 19th according to the latest USTFCCCA Division III poll, placed fourth overall with 134 points. Eleventh-ranked NYU posted the team title with 80 points while No. 14 St. Olaf finished as the runner up with 95 points. Twenty-first ranked Williams placed third with 128 points while the Mammoths (134 points) and No. 17 Middlebury (157 points) rounded out the top five teams.
This concludes the regular season for the Amherst College men's cross country team. The Mammoths will return to competition in two weeks, as they will compete in the NESCAC Championships hosted by Bowdoin College on Saturday, November 2nd.
