AMHERST, Mass. – Junior Harrison Dow delivered a fourth-place finish as the Amherst College men's cross country team hosted the Little Three Championship for the first time on its home course this past Saturday.

The Mammoths totaled 50 points to take third place, finishing behind Williams (29) and Wesleyan (47). Dow led Amherst with a time of 18:56.46, while three other Mammoths joined him in the top 15.

The guys showed depth and resilience across the board and will continue to focus on improving for the remainder of the season. The Mammoths will return to action on Saturday, September 20, at the Cardinal Invitational in Middletown, CT.

• First-year Carter Bengtson impressed with a ninth-place effort in 19:13.93.
  
   
• Fellow rookie Caleb Barnes took 11th at 19:28.64, while senior Thomas Stephens crossed in 12th at 19:35.90.
  
   
• Junior Stan Craig rounded out the Mammoths' scoring five in 14th place, running 19:39.61.
  
   
• Sophomore Ben Kasen (16th, 19:45.90) and senior Drew Stephens (19th, 19:52.10) served as Amherst's displacers.
