HADLEY, Mass. -- Amherst College senior quarterback Mike Piazza (Wellesley, Mass.) has been chosen as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for play ending Sunday, Nov. 5. 

Piazza completed 25-of-35 passes for a career-high 374 yards and two touchdowns in a come-from-behind 27-23 win at Bowdoin on Saturday. The 374 yards were 108 higher than his previous best, and it was his first multi-touchdown pass game of his career. The senior also ran for 23 yards in the victory.

Piazza's TD passes put the Mammoths ahead twice -- the second one for good - and went to Owen Gaydos from 6 yards out and then Carter Jung from 51 yards out. 

Amherst (3-5) hosts Williams (2-5) Saturday for Homecoming. Kick-off is 12 p.m.
