BRUNSWICK, Maine – Strong singles play propelled the sixth-ranked Amherst College women's tennis team to victory as they downed NESCAC rival and No. 4 Bowdoin College, 6-3 Sunday afternoon at the Maine Pines Tennis Courts.

DOUBLES HIGHLIGHTS
- Amherst secured one point in doubles play, with Vicki Ip '18 and Kelsey Chen '19 defeating Kyra Silitch and Tess Trinka, 8-2, on court two.
SINGLES HIGHLIGHTS
- Down 3-1, the Purple & White swept the final five singles matches to claim the 6-3 victory.
- Ip began Amherst's comeback on court two, defeating Tiffany Cheng in two-sets, 6-0, 7-6.
- On court three, Jackie Calla '17 made it a 3-3 contest, toppling Tess Trinka 6-3, 6-2, before Sarah Monteagudo '16 gave Amherst a 4-3 lead with a win over Silitch, 6-3, 6-4, in number four singles.
- Kelsey Chen '19 and Avery Wagman '18 earned the Purple & White's final two victories playing on courts five and six, respectively, downing Maddie Rolph 6-1, 6-4 and Sarah Shadowens 6-4, 7-5.
