SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY - The Amherst College men's golf team opened its spring slate with an eighth place finish at the Palamountain Invitational hosted by Skidmore College on Monday. St. Lawrence University fired a 310 to notch the top spot. Sophomore Mike Valentine (Topsfield, MA) shot a 79 to pace the Jeffs. 

Amherst returns to action Thursday at the Lou Flumere Invitational hosted by Bentley College.
