Mammoth Men Finish 23rd at Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational

Jekyll Island, GA – The Amherst College Men's Golf Team finished in 23rd place after the third and final round of the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational at Pine Lakes.The Mammoths finished the day at 13 over par, and totaled 22 over par for the weekend. Huntington College placed first with a 10 stroke lead over second place Washington and Lee University.

On the individual leaderboard, second-year Andre Zhang led the Mammoths firing a 74, and finished in 60th place in the overall field.

Following, senior Paari Kaviyarasu shot a 74 and second-year Jan Ebbinge shot 76. First-year Thomas Zhang shot 77, and senior Mark Vitels shot 79.

The Mammoths had an exciting start to their spring season and will be back in action April 11th for the Tim Brown Invitational held at Ballston Spa Country Club.
