HADLEY, Mass. -- Amherst College junior quarterback
Marek Hill (Oak Park, Ill.) has been selected as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week for play ending Sunday, September 27th.
Hill completed 25 of 34 pass attempts (73.%) for 306 yards and four touchdowns, with no interceptions, in a 38-21 win at Hamilton. Hill found four different receivers for scores, two in each half, and led the Mammoths on three scoring drives of 12 plays or more. He also ran for 26 yards on four carries as the Mammoths piled up 462 yards of total offense in the victory. With the score tied at 14-14 entering the third quarter, Hill threw a 49-yard touchdown to
Cam Fowler and followed up with a 20-yard strike to
Jack Berger to give the Mammoths a lead they would not relinquish.
