HADLEY, MA. – Four members of the No. 5 Amherst College women's golf team were awarded All-NESCAC honors when they were announced today, including two major award winners. First year Emma Lindemoen (Louisville, Ky.) was named NESCAC Co-Rookie of the Year and Head Coach Elizabeth Geene was named Coach of the Year after her team's success this season.

Lindemoen was accorded All-NESCAC First Team honors, with sophomores Mekhala Costello (Canton, Mass.) and Joelle Kim (Los Altos, Calif.) joining her on the First Team. First year Renna Chang (Jericho, N.Y.) earned an All-NESCAC Second Team selection.

Geene's squad is ranked No. 5 in the nation after winning three of the seven stroke play events they have competed in during the 2025-26 season and finishing in the top five at every tournament. She helped guide the team to the program's third NESCAC Championship a couple of weeks ago, and coached Costello to an individual win. This is her third NESCAC Coach of the Year award on the women's side.

Lindemoen, Amherst's first NESCAC Rookie of the Year winner since 2021-22, was given the honor after several big performances in her first season. Currently ranked in the top 30 nationally and No. 11 regionally, Lindemoen recorded one win and two top threes across 20 total rounds. Highlights include a win at the George Phinney Classic and a third-place finish at the Williams Fall Invitational, as well as placing eighth at NESCAC Championships at the end of April. The All-Conference recognitions are the first of her career.

Costello earned her second All-NESCAC First Team selection after putting in a tournament for the ages at NESCAC Championships ten days ago. The sophomore put down a career-best round of 3-under par (68) on day 2 to take the lead and held off a late charge to win medalist honors at the tournament. She has not finished outside the top 25 at a tournament this season and will look to contend at NCAAs for the second straight year after placing 14th at last year's Championship.

Kim was also rewarded with her second All-NESCAC First Team honor this year, with the sophomore sitting at No. 28 nationally and No. 10 in the regional rankings. Her best outing was a second-place finish at the Northeast Invitational this spring, and her eighth-place performance at the NESCAC Championship tournament helped the team seal their win.

Chang, like her classmate, was named to her first All-NESCAC Team with her Second Team nod. She started her career in stroke play with a second-place finish at the Williams Fall Invitational with a total score of three-under par over two rounds. She has come on strong as of late, carding top 15 finishes in the team's last two tournaments.

The Mammoths are still in contention for a National Championship, with their NESCAC title earning them the conference's automatic bid to NCAA Championships. The tournament will be held from Tuesday, May 19 through Friday, May 22 at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, Calif.
