AMHERST, MA. — The Amherst College women's tennis team swept Connecticut College on Senior Day at the Amherst Tennis Courts, closing the regular season at 10–6 overall and 7–3 in the NESCAC. The Mammoths were sharp from the opening doubles courts through the final singles match, and the win gave Amherst a fitting finish at home heading into postseason play.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Amherst took control early by winning all three doubles matches. Tina She and Karolina Dobiecka teamed up for a strong win at No. 2 doubles, while Greta Stechschulte and Sophie Diop helped secure another point at No. 3 doubles to give Amherst the doubles sweep and the momentum entering singles.
  • The senior captains then delivered in singles. Karolina Dobiecka followed her doubles win with a dominant 6–1, 6–0 victory at No. 5 singles, and Sophie Diop was even more commanding at No. 1 singles, cruising to a 6–0, 6–0 win. Maddie Swire added another straight-set win at No. 4 to keep the Mammoths in full control. Their performances anchored a complete Amherst sweep and gave Senior Day a strong finish.
  • Amherst's depth showed throughout the rest of the lineup as well. Cody Huang won in straight sets at No. 2 singles, Lily Dounchis was equally convincing at No. 3. Every Amherst player contributed to the sweep, and the team never let Connecticut College back into the match.
