AUSTIN, Texas - Amherst College sophomore Tina She (Stouffville, Ontario) was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Second Team, it was announced earlier today.

Formerly known as the College Sports Information Directors of America (COSIDA), the CSC divides the NCAA institutions into nine geographic districts, with Amherst being located in District 1. The Academic All-America program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Academic All-District honors are awarded to up to four student-athletes from each team who have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average and need to be in the lineup for 70 percent of the total matches played by the team that includes team scores.

She, an economics and mathematics double major, boasting a 3.81 GPA, continues to rack up the accolades in her sophomore season. She earned her first CSC Academic All-American nod after earning her first CSC Academic All-District nod in May. She also picked up her first NESCAC accolades this season. She was named NESCAC Player of the Year, All-NESCAC Singles First Team, and All-NESCAC Doubles Second Team. She also earned accolades from the International Tennis Association (ITA) in being named Northeast Region Player to Watch.

This season, She was in the top spot, and finished ranked third in the nation by the ITA. She earned her first appearance at the NCAA Singles Tournament where she fell in the round of 32, and was the first Mammoth to make the NCAA Singles Tournament since 2019. She finished her sophomore year at 24-5. She also helped to push the Mammoths to their Sweet Sixteen appearance on the team side of tennis.
