LUDLOW, MA – The #14 Amherst College women's tennis team dropped its NESCAC opener to #10 Bowdoin on Saturday at home, falling 6–1 in the Mammoths' second dual match of the season. The result evens Amherst's record at 1–1 heading into a quick turnaround on Sunday against Colby College. Bowdoin grabbed an early edge in doubles, winning on courts one and three, while Amherst's second pair struck back to keep the Mammoths in touch. The Polar Bears then used strong singles play to pull away, securing straight-set wins on several courts to get away with the victory.
