MIDDLETOWN, CT. – The Amherst Women's Swim and Dive team is in second place after the first day of the NESCAC Championships, the 800-yard Freestyle Relay. Amherst has 74 points after Day 1, while Williams College leads with 90 points.
Amherst's A-Relay, comprised of Ava Insteness, Maeve Kelley, Penny Lazar, and Paige Arnold, finished second, with a time of 7:24.04. The team shaved 10 seconds off their seed time. The B-Relay, made up of Emory Tudor, Hope Taylor, Katy Niziol, and Diane Koo, finished 15th, swimming a time of 7:45.92.
The Mammoths will return to the pool tomorrow, Friday, February 13th, for the second day of the NESCAC meet.
