Reynolds Named NESCAC Player of the Week

HADLEY, MA – Senior forward Maeve Reynolds (Plymouth, Mass.) was named this week's NESCAC Player of the for women's ice hockey, the conference announced earlier today.

Reynolds was pivotal in the Mammoths huge unbeaten weekend against No. 4 Middlebury, helping the team go 1-0-1 in two games. The senior assisted the game-tying goal with 2:45 remaining to earn a 1-1 in the first game and scored the final goal in a 3-1 win the following day. Additionally, in their win in game two, Reynolds dominated at the faceoff dot, winning 15 of 24 faceoffs on the day. This is Reynolds' first, and the team's third, NESCAC Player of the Week honor this season.

Amherst is currently ranked No. 2 in the nation and stands at 10-0-3. A big test comes next for the Mammoths, taking on No. 8 ranked Norwich at Orr Rink on Wednesday, Jan. 21. Puck drop is scheduled for 6 p.m.
