AMHERST, MA. – Three members of the Amherst College women's ice hockey team were awarded New England Hockey Writer Association (NEHWA) Women's Division III All-Star honors when they were announced today.
The junior trio of goaltender
Natalie Stott (Franklin, Mass.), defender
Gretchen Dann (Hanover, N.H.) and forward
Maeve Reynolds (Plymouth, Mass.) each picked up yet another award for their stunning campaigns; Stott was further honored as the NEHWA Division III New England MVP for the 2024-25 season.
Stott earns her third NEHWA All-Star selection in as many seasons, and her first MVP award. She finished the year with a .957 save percentage and .95 goals against average while giving up only 27 goals in 29 games. Throughout her career, Stott has racked up 1711 saves in almost 5000 career minutes and an impressive record of 66-14-3. Along with these awards, Stott was also a First Team All-America and First Team All-NESCAC selection this season and accorded 2024-25 NCAA All-Tournament team honors.
Dann has been a key contributor on both ends of the ice this season, sealing her breakout campaign with NEHWA All-Star honors for the first time in her career. Defensively, Dann has recorded 28 blocked shots and has helped the Mammoths concede only 28 goals in 30 games. She also emerged as a scoring threat from the blue line, tallying nine goals and 11 assists for 20 total points. This award is yet another on Dann's impressive list, which includes All-America, NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year, and All-NESCAC First Team honors.
Reynolds was also named an NEHWA All-Star for the first time in her career in 2024-25. The junior has consistently been one of the Mammoths' most dangerous offensive players, with 7 goals and 17 assists this season and 30 goals and 44 total assists in her time with the Mammoths. Reynolds finished the season leading the NESCAC in total points and faceoff wins, with 24 total points and an impressive 362 faceoff wins in 30 games. Her play this season also saw her garner national recognition for the first time in her career and conference recognition for the second, earning Second Team All-America and All-NESCAC selections earlier this year.
The Mammoths finished the season at 23-6-1 overall, winning their second NESCAC title in three seasons and making an appearance in the NCAA National Championship game, where they fell to University of Wisconsin River Falls 3-1.
