AMHERST, Mass. -- After a two-year absence, the Amherst College women's basketball team is back on the dance floor. 

The Mammoths (19-7) were awarded an at-larger berth into the 2025 NCAA Div. III Women's Basketball Tournament Monday, and will head to nearby Smith College to take on  Vassar College (21-6) Friday afternoon at 4:15 p.m. inside the Pioneers' Ainsworth Gymnasium.

Host Smith (26-2) will play SUNY-Cobleskill (24-4) in the second first-round game Friday at 6:45 p.m.

The Mammoths will be making there 14th NCAA Tournament appearance and first since the 2021-22 season when the three-time national champions reached the national semifinals.
