SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – First-year
Emma Ramsingh broke her own week-old school record in the discus as five members of the Amherst College women's track and field team earned All-New England honors on the final day of the New England Division III Outdoor Championships on Saturday at Mount Holyoke College.
Combined with two All-New England performances from Friday's events, the Mammoths tallied 42 points to place fifth out of 49 teams in the team standings. MIT won its third straight championship with 141.5 points.
The Mammoths will be in action again next weekend, competing in the Farley Inter-Regional Extravaganza at Williams College on Friday and Saturday (May 10-11).
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* Ramsingh broke the Amherst discus record for the fourth time this season, unleashing a throw of 47.08m to finish third and earn her first All-New England finish with a mark that ranks in the top 10 in all of Division III this season.
* Sophomore
Myeh Medina raced to a runner-up finish in the 400m hurdles with a personal-best time of 1:02.87, a mark that ranks among the top 20 in Division III this season.

Eliza Cardwell was the runner-up in the 100m hurdles, clocking in at 14.43 seconds with her second All-New England finish of the meet and 13th of her career.

Zoë Marcus and junior
Julia Schor both posted All-New England performances in the 800m. Marcus ran a season-best time of 2:10.45 to place third with a mark that ranks in the top 10 in Division III this season. Schor finished fifth in 2:13.98 to earn her seventh career All-New England honor.
