MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – First-year Parker Boyle of the Amherst College men's track and field team earned All-America honors in the 800m at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships on Friday at Shaw Memorial Stadium.

Boyle ran a time of 1:52.15 to place ninth in the preliminary heats, earning All-America Second Team honors. Boyle was the top first-year finisher in the field in his national championship debut. All-America honors are awarded to the top 16 finishers in each individual event with the top eight earning first-team recognition.

The national championships conclude on Saturday (May 25), when first-year Michael Abbey Jr. will compete in the triple jump at 1 p.m.
