MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Three members of the Amherst College track and field team earned All-America honors as the Mammoths opened competition at the NCAA Division III Championships on Thursday at Shaw Memorial Stadium.
Sophomore
Myeh Medina finished 10th in the nation in the 400m hurdles, running a personal-best time of 1:02.33 in the preliminary heats in her national championship debut.
First-year
Emma Ramsingh placed 12th in the nation in the discus with a throw of 43.29m on her final attempt. Ramsingh was the top first-year finisher in the event.
Junior
Julia Schor earned her second All-America honor of the year with a 14th-place finish in the 1500m, clocking a time of 4:36.03. Schor was part of Amherst's distance medley relay team that earned All-America honors at this year's NCAA Indoor Championships.
All three Mammoths competing today concluded their seasons with All-America Second Team honors. First-team honors are awarded to the top eight finishers in each individual event, while the next eight finishers earn second-team honors.
The Mammoths continue action at the NCAA Championships on Friday (May 23) in Myrtle Beach. Junior

Zoë Marcus is scheduled to run the 800m at 6 p.m.
