Eliza Cardwell won the 100m hurdles as the Amherst College women's track and field team competed at the MIT Final Qualifier on Friday, looking to qualify for the upcoming NCAA Championships on the final day of competition before selections are finalized.
Cardwell won the 100m hurdles, running a time of 14.20 seconds in the final, a season-best that ranks among the top 20 times in Division III this season.
Selections for the NCAA Division III Championships will be announced on Friday (May 17) with the top 22 athletes in individual events and top 16 teams in each relay event earning a trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to compete for national championships from May 23-25.
