WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Juniors
Julia Schor and
Casie Eifrig each broke school records as the Amherst College women's track and field team wrapped up action at the Farley Inter-Regional Extravaganza on Saturday at Williams College.
Schor set a new record in the 1500m and Eifrig broke the school record in the 400m.
The Mammoths, the top-ranked team in the Mideast Region in the latest USTFCCCA rankings, are back in action on Thursday at 4 p.m., competing at the MIT Final Qualifier with one last chance to post marks to qualify for the NCAA Championships. The top 22 marks in individual events and top 16 times in relay events earn invitations to the national championships.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* Schor broke the Amherst school record in the 1500m, coming from behind and moving up two places in the final 400m to finish in 4:29.46 to win the event with a time that ranks among the top 20 in Division III this season. Schor broke the record of 4:30.71 set by Shauneen Garrahan '07 that had stood since 2007.
* Eifrig set a new Amherst school record in the 400m, finishing in 56.91 seconds to break the record of 57.36 set by Anna Madden '22 in 2022 and finish second in the event.
* Junior
Eliza Cardwell won the 100m hurdles, clocking in at 14.45 seconds in the final after running a time of 14.25 seconds in the preliminaries, a season-best time that ranks among the top 20 in Division III this season.

Anaya Thomas scored a personal-best 4193 points to place third in the heptathlon, notching personal bests in the long jump (5.24m) and the 800m (2:39.13) in Saturday's events.
