WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Amherst College women's track and field team set a new school record in the 4x400m relay to highlight action at the first day of the Farley Inter-Regional Extravaganza on Friday at Williams College.
The Mammoths, the top-ranked team in the Mideast Region in the latest USTFCCCA rankings, continue action at Williams on Saturday (May 11) beginning at 10 a.m.

Zoë Marcus broke the Amherst record in the 4x400m relay, clocking in at 3:50.95 to break the record of 3:51.38 that was set in 2021 with a time that ranks among the top 16 in Division III this season, finishing fifth in the event.

Carolina Andrade placed second in the javelin with a throw of 37.12m.

Anaya Thomas has the overnight lead in the heptathlon. Through four of seven events, Thomas has tallied 2594 points after scoring personal bests in the shot put (9.09m) and 200m (28.80 seconds).
