SOMERVILLE, Mass. – First-year
Emma Ramsingh and the Mammoths 4x800m relay team won NESCAC titles as the Amherst College women's track and field team finished second at the NESCAC Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Tufts University.
The Mammoths tallied 136 points to earn their best-ever finish at the conference championship. Middlebury won its third straight title with 144 points.
Amherst posted eight All-NESCAC performances, awarded to the top three finishers in each event, with Ramsingh breaking the Amherst record in the discus.
The Mammoths return to action next weekend for the New England Division III Outdoor Championships, which will be contested on Friday and Saturday (May 3-4) at Mount Holyoke College.

Bella Lozier posted a time of 9:15.40 to claim the championship, earning the first career NESCAC title for all four Mammoths.
* Ramsingh won the NESCAC title in the discus in her championship debut. Stepping into the cage as the final thrower having already clinched the title, Ramsingh unleashed a throw of 45.43m to break the Amherst school record for the third time in her rookie season. Ramsingh's throw ranks among the top 10 nationally in Division III this season.
* Marcus earned a runner-up finish in the 800m with a personal-best time of 2:11.91, which ranks among the top 20 in Division III this season.

Myeh Medina earned her first career All-NESCAC award with a second-place finish in the 400m hurdles, running a personal-best time of 1:03.13 that ranks among the top 15 in Division III this season.

Julia Schor placed second in the 1500m with a personal-best time of 4:33.83, earning her fourth career All-NESCAC honor between track and cross country.

Anaya Thomas cleared 1.57m on her first attempt in the high jump to tie for second and earn her first career All-NESCAC award.

Arissa Grace McGowan placed third in the 100m hurdles, earning her second consecutive All-NESCAC honor in the event with a personal-best time of 14.72 seconds.

Eliza Cardwell finished third in the long jump with a leap of 5.60m to earn her third career All-NESCAC award.
