LEWISBURG, Pa. – First-year Zoë Marcus ran a personal-best time in the 800m as a small contingent of distance runners from the Amherst College women's track and field team wrapped up the weekend at the Bison Outdoor Classic on Sunday at Bucknell University.

In a meet featuring athletes from all three NCAA divisions, Marcus ran a time of 2:12.30 in the invitational 800m to finish 21st overall in a field of 137 runners. Marcus was the top first-year in the field. Her time ranks among the top 20 in Division III this season and is the top time in the nation from a Division III first-year this season.

Sophomore Piper Lentz won her heat with a personal-best time of 2:14.69 in the event to finish 35th overall. Classmate Bella Lozier clocked a personal-best time of 2:16.23 to place 54th in her first 800m of this outdoor season.
