GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Amherst College women's swimming and diving team recorded a 12th-place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay, earning All-America honors at the NCAA Division III Championships on Friday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
First-years

Lucy Smith and
Paige Arnold and senior
Lauren Eng clocked a time of 7:33.29 to finish 12th and earn Second Team All-America honors, awarded to the individuals and relay teams finishing in 9th through 16th place in each event.
Eng is an All-American for the fifth time in her collegiate career after picking up the accolades in four relay events over her previous two trips to nationals. This marks the second event in which Kelley, Smith and Arnold have earned All-America honors at their debut national championship meet after each scored in individual events earlier in the week.
After three of four days of the NCAA Championships, the Mammoths sit in 17th place in the team standings with 40 points. Entering the final day of competition, Kenyon leads defending champion Denison by just three points for first place.
The championship meet concludes on Saturday (March 23) with preliminary heats at 10 a.m. to qualify for the finals at 6 p.m.
