The Amherst College men's track and field team competed in the final indoor action before the national championships with Mammoths taking part in the Tufts National Qualifying Meet and the NEICAAA Indoor Championships on Saturday.
First-year
Michael Abbey Jr. earned All-NEICAAA honors with his third-place finish in the triple jump, posting a mark of 14.15m at the NEICAAA Championships, a meet featuring athletes who qualify from all three NCAA divisions. Only six Mammoths competed in the two-day meet with two scoring to give Amherst eight team points and a 23rd-place finish as Division I Rhode Island repeated as NEICAAA champions.

Selections for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships are announced on Sunday night (March 3) and the indoor season begins on March 23 when the Mammoths are set to compete in the Swanson Spring Classic at Wesleyan.
