HADLEY, Mass. -- Amherst College junior forward Anna Baxter (Joliet, Ill.) has been chosen as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week for play ending Sunday, Feb. 18. 

Baxter had a goal and two assists as Amherst swept Williams, 3-0 and 3-1, to clinch the top seed in the NESCAC Tournament. Baxter had two helpers, including one on the game-winning goal in a 3-0 victory in Williamstown. In a 3-1 victory at Amherst, Baxter's game-winning goal broke a third-period tie. In addition, Baxter won 26 of the 38 face-offs (68.4 pct.).

Baxter has 5 goals and 6 assists this season for 11 points. She has 2 game-winning goals. 

The top-seed in the NESCAC Tournament, the Mammotths (20-2-2) will play host to Bowdoin Saturday at 3 p.m. in a NESCAC quarterfinal match-up.
