Anna Baxter (Joliet, Ill.) has been chosen as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week for play ending Sunday, Feb. 18.
Baxter had a goal and two assists as Amherst swept Williams, 3-0 and 3-1, to clinch the top seed in the NESCAC Tournament. Baxter had two helpers, including one on the game-winning goal in a 3-0 victory in Williamstown. In a 3-1 victory at Amherst, Baxter's game-winning goal broke a third-period tie. In addition, Baxter won 26 of the 38 face-offs (68.4 pct.).
Baxter has 5 goals and 6 assists this season for 11 points. She has 2 game-winning goals.
The top-seed in the NESCAC Tournament, the Mammotths (20-2-2) will play host to Bowdoin Saturday at 3 p.m. in a NESCAC quarterfinal match-up.
