MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – A trio of runner-up finishes earned All-NESCAC honors for the Amherst College women's swimming and diving team on the third day of the NESCAC Championships on Saturday at Middlebury College.
Through 18 of 24 events, the Mammoths sit in sixth place in the team standings with 633 points. Williams leads with 1479 points and defending champion Tufts ranks second with 1244 points.
The championships conclude on Sunday (Feb. 18) with preliminary heats beginning at 10 a.m. to qualify for the finals at 5 p.m.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* First-year
Maeve Kelley set a new Amherst record with her time of 10:05.03 in the 1000-yard freestyle, breaking the mark of 10:09.43 set by Kendra Stern in 2011. Kelley finished second to earn All-NESCAC honors in a second event in her rookie season after winning the 500-yard freestyle on Friday.

Paige Arnold earned All-NESCAC honors in a third event this weekend with a second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly. Arnold finished second in the championship final in 55.63 seconds after swimming a personal-best time of 55.41 seconds in the morning prelims, an NCAA B-cut time that earned an invitation to the NCAA Championships last year.

Megan Lee placed second in the 400-yard individual medley with a personal-best time of 4:24.90, an NCAA B-cut time that falls under the threshold that was invited to nationals last year.
