NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Amherst College men's track and field team won four events on the second day of the Carla Coffey Invitational on Saturday at Smith College.

Adrian Friedman won the long jump, first-year
Henry Dennen won the 5000m, sophomore
David Brown claimed the shot put and first-year
Jordan Harrison matched his school record to win the 100m.
The Mammoths finished second of 10 teams at the meet. Amherst's tally of 153 points was second only to the 165 points posted by Tufts.
The Mammoths are back in action next weekend, competing in the Collier Invitational on Saturday, April 22, at MIT.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* Friedman won the long jump for the third straight meet with a personal-best mark of 6.96m. Sophomore
Yeob Kim placed third with a jump of 6.76m in his first long jump of the outdoor season with both Mammoths' marks in the top 10 among New England Division III athletes so far this season.
* Dennen won the 5000m in 14:32.57, a time that ranks among the top five among New England Division III athletes so far this season. Senior
Will Merhige placed eighth with a personal-best 15:20.05.
* Brown won the shot put for the second straight meet with a personal-best throw of 14.41m that ranks in the top 10 in New England this season.
* Harrison matched the school record he set earlier this season, running the 100m dash in 10.79 seconds to post his first collegiate outdoor win. Junior
Benjamin Bell placed seventh in the 100m, matching his personal best of 11.25 seconds, and eighth in the 200m in 23.08 seconds.

Ellis Phillips-Gallucci ran the 400m hurdles in 54.18 seconds to place second with a time that ranks among the top 15 nationally in Division III so far this season.

Jack Trent claimed second place in the decathlon with 6,500 points, a personal-best score that ranks among the top five in Division III this season. Jai Dreher finished eighth in a personal-best 50.98 seconds.

Gabe dos Santos placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 12.92m. Friedman ranked sixth at 12.18m.

Camden Heafitz was just behind in fourth place with a mark of 1.88m.
* A pack of Mammoths claimed spots four through seven in the 800m. Junior
