AMHERST, Mass. -- The Amherst College men's squash team won eight of nine matches Saturday afternoon at the Davenport Squash Courts, topping conference foe Hamilton College by an 8-1 score.
Amherst improved to 2-1 on the season. The Mammoths will play host to Trinity Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Adam Lichtmacher managed to pull out a sweep over William Rice at first singles, but it was anything but easy. Lictmacher won the first game 11-9, cruised in the second 11-4 and then outlasted his opponent 13-11 in the third game to pull off the hard-earned sweep.
Grady Herbert had a somewhat easier time at six singles where he knocked off Carlo Caffuzzi 11-5, 11-5 and 11-0. Abhimanyu Gupta also earned a sweep ay four singles, where he took down Nicholas Carabatsos 11-7, 12-10 and 11-8.
