PHILADELPHIA, PA— The Amherst College men's squash team closed its 2025–26 campaign on Sunday with a hard-fought 6–3 loss to fourth-seeded and 16th-ranked Navy in the Hoehn Cup, finishing 12–8 on the season and taking 4th place in the 2nd Division bracket of the CSA National Team Championships. Amherst had edged the Midshipmen 5–4 in the regular season, but Navy turned the tables in the postseason meeting to claim the rematch.

Amherst's three wins came through strong performances in the middle and lower order. At #3, Joseph Toth produced a composed four-game victory over Alexander Orr, 3–1 (12–10, 11–8, 3–11, 11–6) in 37 minutes, steadying after a third-game dip to close out the fourth.

At #5, Zi Tao Yu matched that effort with another four-game win, defeating Matthew Kang 3–1 (11–7, 9–11, 11–7, 12–10) in 35 minutes and surviving a tense fourth-game finish to secure Amherst's second point.

Grady Herbert delivered the Mammoths' fastest win of the day at #8, sweeping Michael Tierney Jr. 3–0 (11–4, 12–10, 11–3) in just 34 minutes
